Deconstruct your Science to Win Friends and Influence People
Date: 05/11/11 - 05/12/11
Location: Rutgers University’s Institute of Marine & Coastal Sciences

COSEE NOW, in partnership with COSEE OS, COSEE West, and COSEE California, is pleased to offer the following opportunity for graduate students in Oceanography, Ecology & Evolution, and Environmental Sciences.

Join us on May 11th & 12th at Rutgers University’s Institute of Marine & Coastal Sciences for a workshop that will focus on how you can deconstruct your science so that it is utilizable by the public and colleagues outside your field. Students will have an opportunity to work with Drs. Oscar Schoefield, Debashish Bhattycharya, Elizabeth Sikes, Jim Miller, and Lee Kerkhof to translate cutting-edge science topics. Attendees will also learn what the media, science museums, policy makers, and K-12 audiences might do with this information.
