Preparing and Applying for a Postdoctoral Research Position

Does your next scientific career move involve a "postdoc" position? Find out if this action-packed advanced position is for you, and what types of postdoc positions and funding options are available. Strategies and tips on applying, including strategies for early preparation and questions to ask when applying or interviewing, will be discussed by staff members, Chris Cash and Liv Detrick, from the Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP). Also, hear first-hand experiences and advice directly 'from the labs' from three guest speakers:
- Chris O'Brien, Manager of Ford Fellowships at the National Academies;
- Shekhar Bhansali, Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of South Florida; and
- Nekesha Williams, a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at CUNY City College of New York.
IBP staff will host a Q&A session at the end of the webinar to address audience inquiries.
