Lights, Camera...Science!

In 2010, the research and education activities of the Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce were chosen by producers at the Smithsonian Channel to be featured in an hour long documentary, titled “Creatures of the Lagoon,”, which premiered in September 2012. Filmmaker and producer, Alan Tomlinson, will share clips from the program and discuss his approach to science storytelling, and a panel of researchers featured in the production will discuss their work and take questions from the audience. A reception will follow the lecture.
