Climate Connections Workshop
Date: 08/07/15 11:00 AM - 08/08/15 4:00 PM
Location: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA

Work directly with JPL scientists to discover how NASA satellites are providing data on ocean circulation, the water cycle, and climate issues such as sea level rise. Content and hands-on activities will allow you to help your audiences understand real-world applications in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

This workshop offers the opportunity to work with scientists and engineers from multiple earth science missions seeking to better understand the connections between the land, ocean, and atmosphere. Experts. Mark Fujishin, Tony Lee, Jorge Vazquez and Victor Zlotnicki will be on hand to discuss the science and technology behind measurements of sea level, salinity and soil moisture.

This free workshop is offered by the Jason-3 and Aquarius missions in conjunction with the NASA/JPL Educator Resource Center.

Deadline to apply is July 20, 2015.
