Mission Statement
The aim of our ALOHA curriculum is to
use
young adult literature as a strong base to
present
concepts relating to Hawaii and the
Pacific Ocean waters
that surround it in a challenging,
creative manner.
Although the curriculum is centered around
one
small part of the United States, we have
tried to create
enough opportunities for teachers anywhere
to
relate the lessons to their hometowns, and
for students
to understand the vital role oceans play
around the world.
