Prologue
This teaching resource was developed for the fifth and sixth grade levels. The title, "Ocean Pollution: The Link Between Land and Water" reflects its content, which addresses society's connection to oceans. The lesson plans were primarily developed by the four composers of the resources, along with other influencing sources. Each lesson plan contains hands-on, student-centered activities which are extendable and adaptable for the middle school level.
The composers encourage teachers of all levels to utilize this resource and hope all will find it useful. Have fun as you and your class discover the link between land and water.
