Harmful Algal Blooms & Coastal Biogeochemistry

COSEE West will present this educator workshop on harmful algal blooms and coastal biogeochemistry featuring:
- Presentations about current research investigating possible causes of harmful algal blooms in Santa Monica Bay by Dr. Anita Leinweber (Institute Geophysics and Planetary Physics, UCLA) and Dr. Rebecca Shipe (Institute of the Environment & Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, UCLA)
- Hands-on, inquiry-based, integrative classroom activities correlated with California Content Standards
- Laboratory tour
There is no charge for this workshop.
Space is limited! Register with COSEE West in advance, to ensure there are enough workshop materials for all attendees. We will let registered participants know about parking arrangements on UCLA's campus.
