Background with Respect to Ocean Sciences Education:
I have B.S. degrees in Fisheries and Wildlife and Zoology, and an M.S. in Fisheries. My masters thesis investigated the response of the Dungeness crab to chemical pollution. I have worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a fishery biologist and Oregon State University as a research associate on marine fishery issues. I have taught college level courses in marine biology and oceanography from 1980 to the present.
