Peggy Hamner has a Master's degree in marine ecology and has been conducting research in marine habitats for over 30 years. She has over two decades of experience providing K-12 teacher marine science teacher outreach programs and has served both as staff and program adviser for COSEE West where she manages the oceanlist listserv, a very widely used online communication for the marine education community.
