This is another web site containing book reviews. The site is updated with new book reviews three times a year. This makes the web site appear to look complicated when searching for a particular book. Searching to find what you are looking for may take some time, but it is a well developed site.

There is a game at this website where you can pilot a Viking ship along its journey. Playing the game is a learning experience and teaches students about the ship as well as the Vikings. There are activities to improve computer, math, reading, writing and creative skills.

There are great links which deal with global change, earth science, environmental data and other information. Teachers also have a link to other educational materials.

Visit the Masonboro Island, site of the North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserve, an uninhabited island with saltmarshes. Includes a trained naturalist as your guide. Plus, live Internet images, "beamed" directly from Masonboro Island, allow you to explore the wonders of this unique estuarine environment and ask questions of your naturalist guide. Also you can explore the estuary on video "Waters of Life," and you can learn how schools are using Estuary Live.
