COSEE Ocean Learning Communities Helps Sponsor the NAME Annual Conference - 07.12.2008
COSEE Ocean Learning Communities helped sponsor the Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators (NAME) annual conference on July 9-12 in Friday Harbor, Washington. Members of the COSEE Ocean Learning Communities team gave a presentation, entitled Modeling Inquiry Through Ocean Science Research in the Puget Sound, which featured the environmental spices research work of Rick Keil and his assistants from the University of Washington, School of Oceanography. COSEE Ocean Learning Communities also sponsored a half-day research cruise for conference participants to attend. The cruise was led by the Ocean Inquiry Project and hosted on the Centennial by the Friday Harbor Laboratories - University of Washington.
