COSEE NOW Beta Website Launched - 12.18.2008
COSEE Networked Ocean World (NOW) has launched the beta version of their website. On the site is a new interactive on the seven ocean literacy principles and fundamental concepts. Download the interactive, test drive it, and tell COSEE NOW how it works for you! Also on COSEE NOW is an initial set of teacher resources related to a summer research project in Antarctica, including an introductory presentation educators can use in their classrooms and a real-time data activity.
COSEE NOW's central objective is to develop a productive online community in which scientists, educators, policy makers, and the public can exchange information, collaborate, and learn new skills. In addition to forums and workspaces that will be designed to foster collaboration, the community will be able to share resources such as lesson plans, visualized data, or media presentations that relate to coastal and ocean research.
