The face of the ocean sciences workforce does not reflect current U.S. demography. A COSEE tenet is to support efforts to increase ocean awareness, literacy,
fellowships (Word, 35 KB) and
opportunities (Word, 47 KB) for underrepresented populations to participate more fully in the ocean sciences. The National COSEE Network will maintain and strengthen its presence at the annual national conference of the Society for the Advancement of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
