Communicating Ocean and Marine Science Research

Location: Husky Union Building on the University of Washington Seattle campus
The day will include a keynote talk by Phil Bell on communicating science with various audiences; formal and informal presentations by 18 local ocean and marine scientists on current research; a training on how to collect and contribute data to the ongoing Spices in Puget Sound research with your own "spice sampling kit" by Rick Keil; and many opportunities to create connections between marine scientists and marine volunteers around communicating science and research.
