Workshop participants learn about Florida’s coastal ecosystem

Join COSEE Central Gulf of Mexico for a marine education workshop on the Indian River Lagoon in Fort Pierce. Educators will learn about Florida’s coastal ecosystem and marine life from well known research scientists and marine education specialists.

Lectures and hands-on activities will provide workshop participants with new skills that they can use in conducting field and class-room based experiences with youth.

A $25 registration fee will secure your application and cover educational materials and a lunch on Saturday. Lodging will be provided at the Dockside Inn in Ft. Pierce for those who need it. Participants who complete the weekend workshop will also receive a $200 stipend to help cover additional expenses.

Space is limited. Click here for more information on the workshop and an application.

This workshop is being sponsored by COSEE Central Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Sea Grant Program, and the University of Florida IFAS 4H and Youth Development Office.
