Weather, Sea Level Rise and Climate Change Online Workshop

Location: College of Exploration online campus, California State University, Fullerton, CA
Attendance: This workshop is open to all formal and informal educators.
COSEE-West will host this online workshop from November 3-23, 2008. Our online lectures (by the scientists themselves), resources, lesson plans (aligned to California state science standards) and discussion rooms provide educators with the tools and background necessary to educate the next generation to inherit our troubled planet. Joining the workshop is free and graduate level credit is available from California State University (CSU) at $90 dollars per unit.
Keynote speakers are:
- Dr. Yi Chao of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL): Changing Climate and the California Coastal Ocean
- Dr. Eric Rignot of JPL/UC Irvine: Glaciers and Global Sea Level Rise
- Dr. William Hamner of UCLA (emeritus): Some Biological Oceanographic Consequences of Changing Climate and Global Sea Level Rise
