Ocean Observing Systems: From Your Eyes to Satellites
Date: 10/31/11 - 11/18/11
Location: Online Presentation

Watching the ocean has become one of the most pertinent and energized scientific endeavors over the past few years. The health of our oceans affects sea life, and is highly connected to the safety and health of humanity and of the entire earth. We are all potentially a collaborative piece: from personal observations to the most advanced technology systems, including satellites. By learning all the ways that you are connected to the ocean, we hope to inspire you and have you in turn inspire your students, communities, and others.

This course from COSEE West is designed especially for educators, with resources for classroom teachers and informal educators. This online workshop is FREE and available 24-7. Log on anytime to see the lectures, investigate the resources, ask questions, and try out activities. Each week we’ll post a new presentation and resources, and you can join discussions throughout the workshop. Please join us!
