Museum of Discovery and Science Lecture Series: Silvia Gremes "Revealing the Secrets of the Oceans"

Why do oceanographers spend time on ships at sea collecting information about the oceans and our environment? What are they actually doing? Dr. Gremes has been on 13 oceanographic research expeditions on ships in the Artic, to the Caribbean, and in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. She’ll take you on an exploration of the equipment and instruments on ships that she has used and how that information collected on the expeditions will help us to answer important questions that relate to our everyday life.
