International Ocean Literacy Conference

Registration is now open for the December 4-5, 2017 International Ocean Literacy Conference to be hosted by the UNESCO Venice office and Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) in collaboration with the Consortium for Ocean Science Exploration and Engagement (COSEE) and the College of Exploration.

The Conference will be honored by the presence of Vladimir Ryabinin, Executive Secretary of the IOC-UNESCO; Gesine Meissner, Member of the European Parliament; Peter Thomson (TBC), UN Special Envoy for the Ocean; Barbara Degani (TBC), Vice-Minister of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea of Italy; and Francesca von Habsburg, Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary.

If you are interested in attending the International Ocean Literacy Conference, please complete the online registration form. Thanks to financial support from the Swedish Ministry of Environment and Energy, there is no conference registration fee. There is limited travel support, and delegates from developing nations will be given priority. You may indicate your request for travel support on the registration form.
