In conjunction with COSEE-TEK's EVA & BOB Project, Project Oceanology has deployed three basic observation buoys (BOBs) in and around the mouth of the Thames River in the Eastern portion of Long Island Sound and they have been collecting water quality data since then. The buoys are equipped with Onset Hobo temperature and light sensors, settling plates to measure seasonal recruitment of marine invertebrates, and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) sensors to passively sample organic contaminants. Click the points on the map to access data and images from each location.
Note: The embedded map requires the Google Earth Plug-in for your browser. If you do not wish to install the plug-in, select the "Map", "Sat", or "Ter" button in the top right of the map.
